Kucera parent visit!

My parents were up for two weeks!  We jam-packed the two weeks with awesomeness!
Adam and my dad fishing on the Kenai
DAD'S FIRST SALMON!!!  He finally caught one... and after the first one- it was chaos and lots of fish to clean!
 One morning's catch!
..... not exactly my feet in the water at Sanibel--- but love it anyways!
Our big fur baby!
Dad and mom fishin--- this was about 12:30 a.m.!!!
Another morning's catch!  They took home 72lbs of salmon! Plenty of "special dinners" for the nieces! They love their fish!
Some Dall Sheep down low
We spoiled Dad one day.... took him to the Lake Hood air museum
Also to the Alaska State Trooper's museum where he saw his patch that was hung!  WAHOO TAMA COUNTY IOOOOOOOOOOOOWA!
We went on a glacier/wildlife cruise!  Saw lots of cute otters-- mom's favorite!
The Dall Porpoise were playing with our boat!
Sea lions!  They were noisy.... and smelly!
These are murre.... the closest birds we have to penguins.  They can dive down 600 feet!
Humpback whales!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We saw a calf playing!
The Sea Life center in Seward was amazing!  My favorite was this seal who played with the kids on the other side of the glass.  They would roll a red ball across the floor or on the glass and she would chase it!  It was the coolest thing to see and to hear their genuine laughter!
We got to go to ARCTIC THUNDER!  An airshow put on by the Elmendorf Airforce Base....
it....was....amazing!  ...yes the top one is flying upside down!
And of course they put everything to music which made it that much more exhilarating!
 beautiful day and scenery!
 dropping off 40 paratroopers
A demo of an assault from land and air!
We also saw a demonstration of their K9s!
They also had amazing food everywhere!  These are cowboy fries.... cheesy fries with BBQ pulled pork!

Had to take mom and dad to Knik glacier... it was a perfect day!
A different scene when the sun shines!
By the trails we took-- 43 mile round trip!
We chased up a few moose!
Tundra and Angel cleaning out tuna cans!  (they both come to the sound of a can opener and are thoroughly disappointed if they find out it's not tuna!)
Adam and I went dipnetting and got our 35 fish!!!  We hit it just right and were in and out of the water in like 4 hours!!  It was a beautiful day a Mt. Iliamna was out. (volcano!)  More pics of dipnetting to come...

Now for a few pics from my phone ......
The garden that Jeanette and Kevin helped me put in.  Under the dirt are potatoes and carrots.  So far- we can't keep up with the lettuce, we've eaten 5 peas, there are lil green beans growing, we've had 2 strawberries, tomatoes are reddening now, potatoes have gone CRAZY.  Basil died.  Nothing yet from carrots or peppers.
Hard to see but our neighbor took this picture on her phone after Adam, Tundra, and I left for a hike.  In the tree up and right from our boat is a black bear.  Our neighbor dog scared it up a tree.  Just glad Tundra didn't see it... he hates bears!
Grandma Jeanette being silly with Tundra!  Too funny!
 My boys all tuckered out!
My newest lil sweetie, cutie-patootie, shnookums!  Maddie!
Look at how happy this dog is.... he LOVES to get dirty!
....what are we gonna do with him?!?!?
Next adventure?... we leave for caribou hunting on Wednesday!  We had a gorgeous night at the range, making sure the rifle is ready to go!
Rifle on the lead sled to the left and spotting scope/ammo to the right.  What a date!

PEACE and LOVE to all!
